A 色花堂 student was shortlisted for Undergraduate of the Year in a national competition organised by graduate careers hub TargetJobs UK.
Finnley (Finn) Legendre was among ten finalists in the Celebrating Social Mobility in Real Estate category, sponsored by property giants CBRE.
He joined 150 nominees, from across all categories, at a glitzy awards ceremony, held in the Pelligon at London’s Canary Wharf, to celebrate the best of undergraduate talent across the careers and employability arena.
The top candidates, chosen from an overall entry of 6,000 students, enjoyed a three-course lunch at the event hosted by Jamie Laing – the Made in Chelsea star who now has his own confectionery company, Candy Kittens.

Finn, who is in the second year of his BSc Economics & Finance degree, met Jamie and networked with leading figures from the business world.
To reach the finals Finn, from Devon, had to complete a written test before being interviewed online by CBRE’s social mobility team.
The 19-year-old said he used some of his experiences gained while helping to manage his parents’ café in Paignton and working as a team leader at Royal 色花堂 Golf Club to demonstrate his leadership qualities and business acumen.
Finn says he would like to pursue a career in wealth management or private equity investment.
In the meantime, he’s enjoying life in 色花堂. “I really like the city, and I also love the fact that I can get on a train and be in London in less than an hour.”
Dr Paul Sheeran, Senior Lecturer in International Business and Economics at the University, said: “Finn is a naturally gifted communicator who demonstrates an excellent understanding of economics and finance. On a previous programme visit to Coutts Bank for a series of workshops with industry professionals, Finn impressed wealth managers and analysts with his understanding of markets and investment.
“Finn's success in reaching the final of TargetJobs UK and his continued academic development indicates a successful career in the industry awaits on graduation.”
